Day 1

On the 1st post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...
What's been going on with ME!!!!

Greetings all my wonderful blogging friends and welcome to my 3rd annual 12 Posts of Christmas - W00t! It's the one time of year I am successful at making my Mom feel sooooooo guilty that she posts 12 straight days in a row - W00t, W00t, Woot!!!

Well, I hate to admit, life at Chez Ruby Bleu has been kinda boring lately. No big adventures, no excitering vistors. Just me and Mom hanging out. And Mom working lots and lots :(

Actually the last few weeks or so, have been a flurry of activities (and speaking of flurries...we gots a little snow in Sac-of-Tomatos last week)! I've been very busy supervising the making of the Christmas gifties!!! We've been making scarves and sweaters and blankies and monkeys - W00t. I asked Mom to let me post some pictures of what we have made, but she said I needed to wait so I wouldn't spoil any Christmas giftie surprises...sorry.

Next we are gearing up to decorate (I know, I know...December 14th and still no tree up...not sure WHAT Mom is waiting for) and we are going to be baking soon too - W00t!!! That means some major taste testing for me - W00t-W00t!!!

Also, I'm very excitered because this is Mom's last week of work for the rest of the year...actually she says she still needs to work, but she's just going to do it at home...with me!!! That's a pretty nice thing to look forward to, huh?

As you can see...things have been pretty low key for us...but that's OK, anytime I get to snuggle with my Mom (even if she is sitting on the couch reading her work email or knitting) is time well spent for me!!!

Anyhowl...that's about it...Mom is getting ready to knit some more which means there's some yarn for me to munch on!!!! See ya tomorrow for Day 2!!!

Oh, I almost forgots...I've got a Bob update...he's at home and feeling better. Whatever was stuck in his tummy and making him sick managed to escape the 'natural way' if you know what I mean. He's home and resting comfortably! Thanks for the healing vibes...now we just need to keep sending them to Wally, ok?

Hello my friends...hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Me, I'm busy making preparations for my traditional '12 Posts' and of course napping. I really wish there were some kind of napping award, because surely I'd win it! Mom, well, the woman is a knitting machine...fortunately (as best I can tell) not a doggie sweater in sight - whew!

Any howl, I have a HUGE favor to ask...can you please send some major healing vibes to my best buddy Bob? He's having tummy problems and may have to have an operation!!!! Mom and I are waiting to hear and we are really worried. We're also worried about Wally too who has been feeling very poorly the last few days. I know we've been sending lots and lots of healing vibes around...it's amazing we don't all run out!!!

FINALLY...

So I don't have thumbs, and I can't write so I rely on my Mom to not only type my blog posts (of which there haven't been a lot because she has been lazy busy) but also for addressing my DWB holiday cards. Well, I'm happy to report that Mom is finally done addressing and stamping all my cards!!! W00t!!! And she assures me that by the time she comes home from work today she will have mailed them. I sure hope she does...I mean I've been getting cards from all my friends left and right...I'm starting to feel a wee-bit guilty that I haven't gotten them out yet!!!! Seriously, if I could hold a pen they would have been out 2 weeks ago!!!!

Anyhowl...thank you...I so love getting cards and there have been some really good ones. For your viewing pleasure (and for my embarrassment) here's an outtake from my holiday card photoshoot. I'm only posting it because I know you are all my friends and won't make (too much) fun of me.

Oh, and do you know what starts on Monday??? Can you guess??? It's been a Wonder Ruby tradition for the past 2 years...

My friends are VERY smart...this is exactly what I'm going to be doing! Rumor has it that if I'm a very good girl, it just might start to look a lot like Christmas - W00t!!!

I knew it all along...

My Mom found this news thingy on one of her most favoritest interwebs sites Mental Floss (I think she reads it to make her smart...BOL! Not working too well now is it?!?!?!). Anyhowl, researchers have found that us doggies may actually prevent asthma in people pups!!!! How great is that!!!!

“Several longitudinal studies have shown that exposure to certain domestic animals, for example, indoor dogs, during a person’s early life (even possibly before he or she is born) is associated with strong protection against asthma and asthma-related conditions later in life,” Serrine Lau, a member of the research team said.

I always knew we were getting a bad rap on that one!!!

Sleepy Sunday #45

Ahhhh...finally back on track with the numbering. Mom lost it in September (gee, and I thought she lost it a while ago - hee, hee, hee)


I got 2 wonderful surprises so far this weekend and I've been told there are more to come this week - W00t!!!

1) Mom told me she's home ALL WEEK!!!! Can you believe it? I know I hardly can...she's been working so hard lately that she really deserves this and SO DO I!!!! Maximum snuggle time here we come!

2) Next surprise was that Auntie Yvette came to visit me yesterday!!!! I haven't seen her for over a week! I just loves it when she comes over and gives me my belly rubs.

So I guess surprise # 3 is coming later today and then there will be more this week....OMD, I can hardly wait...I wonder what they will be? I better go nap (and dream lots of pawsitive thoughts for Snickers) and rest up for the rest of my surprises!!!! Happy Sleepy Sunday friends!!!!

Hey pups...so sorry for being MIA on Halloween...my internets was broken!!! I promise to come visit you all today. I hope you had a fun time and didn't get too scared. We had no kiddies visit this year! That could be because Mom was playing Scrooge McHalloweenie and turned off all the lights! Anyhowl...here's another pix from my trip last week. I just LOVED that window seat...all mine, oodles of warm sunshine...and far enough away from the waters to not get wet (very important)! Hope you all have a great sleepy Sunday!

Waiting...

I know you all have been waiting to hear about my mini-vacation...but as usual, I'm waiting for my Mom who is too busy, yet again, to stop working and help me post! I'm really getting tired of this and I would complain much more except at least she is coming home from a long day at work and playing with me! But I see her...she's checking that silly Facebook...Brats...now I know what you were talking about!!!

Anyhowl...I promise we'll get to pictures soon...it was a short trip, but I was with my wonderful Aunties and my Mom and it was a great house with a great view and I got LOTS of snackies - W00t!!!

Now the other thing you pups have probably been waiting on...my 2009 Halloweenie costume and what crazy thing my Mom came up with this time. Well, this year she finally listened to ME for a change. I think my costume is creative and I took inspiration from one of my blogging idols...none other than Ms. Sophie La Brador!

I'm taking a vacation...

OMD, OMD...my Mom just told me something great today!!!! One week from today, me, Mom, Auntie Kelly and Auntie Yvette are all going on a trip!!!! We're going on a girls weekend!!!! We're going to the beach!!!

OMD...I'm just so excitered I can't stand it!!!! I've never been to the beach...wonder what's it's like???? Do I have to wear a swim suit??? I'm not sure this totally makes up for us not blogging...but Mom is sure headed in the right direction!!!

In other news....we had a really bad storm the other day....look at my backyard...

A tree broke our patio table!!! Mom is very happy that is all that broke and not like the windows or the house. Alex, my gardener friend, came and took the nasty tree away...thank dogness! But it was scawie when it happened...but I was very, very brave.

OK, that's it for now...in case you don't remember what I look like when I'm awake (BOL)...here I am and I promise to make Mom take LOTS of pictures of me at the beach!!! OMD --- I CAN'T WAIT - W00t!!!

I'm boycotting...

So my Mom reads this magazine called Better Homes and Gardens. In the October issue, there was an article how on their website they have stencils to make doggie Halloween pumpkins. Sounds fun, right? Well guess what???? They don't have any Boston Terriers!!!! The NERVE! Actually there are a bunch of doggies they don't have!!!! The NERVE! However if you are a puggie or a daschie or a boxer...check it out, I have to admit...very cute. But it would be WAY cuter if there was a BT (or an AireDale or a Wire or a Corgador)!!!!

So I think I should boycott Halloween since there isn't a BT pumpkin...what do you think???

I am coneless and I am mad!!!!

Hello pups! Let's just start with an apology...the individual who made me wear that horrible cone (AKA Mom) has been too busy to help me post or visit all my friends so I'm just a tad angry at her for it...please forgive me. I'll get to the other reason I'm mad at her in a bit...

About my eyeballs, as you can see, I'm finally cone-free and the eye-dogtor gave me a clean bill of health- and according to that mean woman (AKA Mom) a pretty healthy bill...whatever that means! I can go back to playing and running and sleeping all without a cone - Yay!!! I've even noticed that my eyes aren't as watery as they used to be - W00t! I have to go back in 6 months to check out my eye pressure to make sure that hasn't changed...but all is good! Thanks so much for all your crossed-paws, healing vibes and aireZen!!!

Now on to the reason I am sooooooooooooooooo angry. Well, last Sunday (before I got the all clear from my eye-dogtor) the not nice woman whom I live with (AKA Mom) went to this...

Can you believe it? She went without me and got to hang out with my favorite teacher Miss Cindy at her booth and gots to pet lots of doggies and saw this really cool unique doggie...

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo angry! I really wanted to go! There were lots of treats and games, doggie goodies and doggies - everywhere!!! Can you believe the nerve of her? We are SO in a fight! Oh sure she said that I couldn't go because she wanted to make sure my eyeballs were all better. Oh sure she said I could come and hang out at the next show and even show off my mad training skillz at Miss Cindy's booth! But that doesn't make up for her abandoning me in my time of need...don't you all agree?

In other news, I'm supposed to be starting Rally soon! See how hard the woman who abandoned me to pet other doggies (AKA Mom) is trying to make it up to me...she needs to keep working it, I think. Rally should be fun because not only do I get to learns new stuff (which I like) I usually get lots of treats when I am a good girl - W00t!!! Maybe I'll be barking to the evil woman (AKA Mom) by then - ROTFB!!!

Oh, two more things...can you send some of those healing vibes to my Nanny and Auntie Yvette...they both had surgery this week. They are both feeling better, but could sure use the good thoughts...Thanks!!!

Well, Mom let's me take the cone off when I'm in the house, but not when I'm outside and since I wanted to lay by my pool, I had to put the darn thing back on! Oh well...at least she let me sleep outside for a bit...it was so nice and warm. I sure hope I get this thing off soon...my walkies are a bit embarrassing!

My Dearest Friends...
Thanks so much for all the kind wishes. I'm feeling a little better today, but still a little puffy around the eyes. I just can't believe the woman who shall not be named (aka Mom) did this to me!!! Oh sure, my eyes kinda bugged me a little, but seriously, I would have been fine. If I would have known that my little 'ride' yesterday morning meant this, I would have NEVER jumped into the car! Heck, I may never get into the Ruby-mobile again!

It's been really hard to get comfortable sleeping with this silly cone on my head so I've been crying a lot...I sure hope it has been bugging the woman who shall not be named. In fact, I don't think she slept at all last night but still had to get on to a work call at 7am this morning ---- muahahahahahaha!!! That will teach her for messing with my eyeballs!

I also can't get on and off my bed, on and off my sofa, it's hard to eat and drink and I can't clean myself up after doing my bizness. I really hate this cone thingy!!! I think the woman who should not be named should try one and see how much she likes it!!!

Anyhowl...I'll keep you posted on how I'm feeling. I'm going to rest a little before I start whining again...my plan is to make sure the woman who shall not be named doesn't get to sleep again...hee hee hee.

Finally home...

Hi Everyone, Michele here. Ruby is finally home! The procedure went well and she just needs to take it easy for the next few days. Right now, she's trying to figure out how to lay down with her newly acquired 'Cone of Shame'. She asked I not share any pictures tonight...she's a little embarrassed by the cone...maybe tomorrow.

Sorry for being away again this week...NOT MY FAULT! Mom was off traveling...again...the nerve. Anyhowl, I'm resting up today...tomorrow I go get my eyeball frozen. Mom said she promises to let everypup know how it went tomorrow night. I barked that I'd take care of it (seeing how reliable she's been with blogging and all) but she said I might not be up to it (whatever that means). Cross your paws and think good thoughts for me, OK?
