Barkday Bonanza

Hey everypup...I thought I'd report in on the barkday happenings.  It was a pretty low key barkday, which was a-OK with me...as long as I got to spend it with my peeps (Mom and Auntie Yvette), it was just fine by me.  

So the day started off as any other day.  Mom came home for lunch and gave me a special kong treat filled with peanut butter...YUM!

That was a mighty fine way to spend some time.  Even if it did make me a little gassy (hey, maybe I should join the Fart Club???)  Than after work, Auntie Yvette came over and her and Mom took me to buy some special barkday treats.  I got a bully stick and these pawsome cookies...

These were really good.  They are gone now, but that's what they looked like.  Next...let's see...oh, I finally got to open up my box from my Macky...

Mom caught this shot when I was a little mellow...imagine that?!?!  Anyhowl, I got this cute little lamby and some WAY yummy snackies from my Macky.  Mom even got a pawsome BT pillow, but she forgot to give me the picture she took.  Oh well...Thank you so much Mack and your Mom too...we love everything - W00t!

Now I've saved the best for last...Maggie and Mitch, this one's for you...I got...

After that, I was totally tired and went to sleep.  It was such a great day...thanks to Mom and Auntie Yvette and my Macky for making it such a wonderful day.  Oh and I want to thank Asta and Lenny for their amazing barkday cards.

Today I want to talk about 3 things...
#1 - Today is my barkday and guess how old I am...that's right, I'm THREE - W00t!!! Mom has a special surprise for me tonight and there is a box from my Macky that I'm gonna get to open later on. I can't wait!!!

#2 - Today is also my blogiversary...ok, so it's only my second blogiversary, but it's still important and to celebrate it, I have a new blog style - W00t! Mom and I are still working out the kinks, but I think it reflects me being a grownup pupgirl now, seeing how I'm 3 and all!

#3 - I'm not going to subject you (like last year) to my Mom's mushiness today... Heck I think she made some of your pawrents a little watery in the eyeballs! We'll be having none of that today!!! But I will say...Mom, I woof you so very, very much and thanks for letting me be your pupgirl - W00t!

I promise I'll post this weekend of all the barkday goings on! Thanks so much for being my friends and make sure you get lots of extra snackies today to celebrate my special day - W00t!

Lovin' the gossip...

Which is pretty disappointing, sincle I was looking forward to a staying in the Lincoln Bedroom and a romping on the Presidential jungle gym.  Hey Walls, what do you think,  maybe you could sport  some dreads or maybe a perm???

PTO

Today, I will NOT be...

Why you ask?  Well, I've decided to take PTO (Play Time Off)!  I've worked long and hard this past month doing laundry, watching TV and dealing with ducks that I thought I deserved a little PTO...'specially since it is my barkday on Thursday.  My Mom took PTO when it was her barkday, so why shouldn't I???

Ruby:  Wow, really, that's great news...what are you going to pay me?  I've been working realllllly hard you know. Who else is ridding the yard of those dirty ducks?  I mean without me, you'd be swimming with duck poop in your hair!

DUCKS?????

Clearly, my perimeter sweep last week was ineffective and Saturday afternoon brought Larry and Louise, our pool ducks. Mom and I are not happy. They are pooping...EVERYWHERE! I finally got them to leave after about an hour, but they came back again on Sunday...and Monday...and we're just waiting for them to arrive today. URGH!!!!! Get out of my yard duckies!!!! Go AWAY!!!!

Note from Mom:
I was told when I moved in from the folks who used to live here that every Spring a duck couple arrive and just love to hang in the pool. They come and go for a few weeks and than suddenly disappear until the next Spring. I thought this year might be different because a dog lives here now, but clearly that doesn't make any difference to Larry and Louise (yes, I named them). I'm sure not digging the duck poop, oh and I sure hope that they don't decide to lay any eggs.

These intruders have been taking over my backyard...swimming in my pooling...hanging in my trees. I'm working really, really hard to get rid of them. This is MY yard and no one can be there but me...oh and Bob when he comes to visit!  OK, enough blogging...I need to get back to work!

Doing a little 'blog'cleaning...

For working with the Snuggle Puggle this week, I've decided that even though we're a few weeks away from the official start of Spring, that I was going to do a little 'blog'cleaning! My Mom is always talking about doing house cleaning (notice I said talking - hee hee hee), so I thought it was about time to spruce up the ol' bloggy.

Here's what I have planned so far:

• New design. So I love my blog, but I have to admit that I'm just a little jelly of all my friends getting new designs/backgrounds like the Brat Pack and Asta. So I'm thinking about how to change it up a little. My blog is going on 2 years old now and it's high time for a new look, don't you think?
• Posting awards. I've gotten a bunch of awards lately, but have been a bad, bad girl in not posting them. If I don't watch myself, I won't get awards anymore if I don't start posting them.
• Clean up my Blog Pals list. If you think I've been bad about awards, I've been really bad on keeping up with my Blog Pals list. I've made lots of new friends that I know aren't on the list, so pups, take a look at the drop-down list on the right------------->>> and if you don't see your name/blog listed let me know STAT so I can update the list AND the all important Google reader watch list.

OK, now that sounds like A LOT of hard work for one week, don't you? I probably won't get the whole design stuff completed this week...for that I require some hooman intervention and who knows what Mom is up to this week (especially after that comment on house cleaning). But rest assured before my blogiversary I better have something done or else!!! And leave a comment if you want to be on my Blog Pals list so I can get working on that! OK...it's back to work for me!!!!

Like all of you pups, I'm still really sad about Bogart's Daddy. Bogie...please know that Mom and I love you and your Mom very, very much and we are thinking of you. I can feel your Dad looking down on us and keeping watch over us!  We will miss you Klaus.

Mom said that when your sad it's good to try and keep busy, and no better way than to go to work! Today is my first day working for Eduardo.

OK, so it doesn't look like I'm watching TV...well not yet. Mom and I got this giant nv-lope in the mail today and inside it was two whole dollars - W00t! I just started working and I'm already getting paid - W00t! W00t!!! And all I (I mean we) need to do is watch some TV and fill out this survey. That shouldn't be to hard, right? Well that depends because I'm really not sure what to watch...Animal Planet or FoodTV...hmmmmm decisions, decisions. Who knew working would be so hard!!!!!

What a tough choice...

Well, first things first...I'm no longer grounded - W00t!!! Mom has forgiven me just in time to participate in Mango-Minster...but I'll get to that in a second. Sorry I've been missing, but Mom has been away for work and just real busy. It was actually really good she was busy...'cause she wound of forgetting about the whole grounded thing. Anyhowl...I've been busy preparing for Valentine's day and of course getting myself ready for Mango-Minster.

I've never participated in a dog show before and I'm up against some pretty tough competition...and some very good friends. There's still time to vote for reader's choice, so head on over to Mango's site and if you want you can kinda, like, um vote for ME!!!! I've been a bad girl...

Hey Pups...I need to be quick today...I'm not supposed to be using the computer cause I'm grounded.  Yup, I'm in big trouble.  What did I do????  Nope...not a stain...no I kinda, well, um, ran away!  Now don't go getting all crazy like my Mom did.  Actually I think she handled herself quite well as a matter of fact, but dog was she upset.

So here's what happened...it was early.  Mom wasn't paying attention while she brought the trashbins in and I ran passed her out the gate down the street!  I just ran...F*R*E*E*D*O*M!!!!!  I ran right down the street to my neighbor friends house and was sniffing at the front door to see if they wanted to come out for a walk.  But I guess only me and Mom like to walk at 5:00am!!!  I think what made Mom extra upset is that I totally ignored her when she called...I know, I know...I should know better than that...gee...I sure hope Mom doesn't tell Miss Cindy my trainer...she'll be mad at me too.

Oh well, I better go...if Mom finds out I've been blogging I'll be grounded furever!
