Decorations and a special tree for me!

Today I'm going to show you how we've decorated the house...it's looks really nice and festive!!!

And here is our tree topper...pretty cool huh?

And now here's the latest addition...I have my very own Ruby tree! W00t!!! Just like Maggie & Mitch's cool airedale tree, Mom surprised me with my very own BT tree. We only have a few ornaments this year, but next year...I'm sure there will be tons more. Thanks Mom for the pawsome tree!!!

Another Sunday, another sleepy picture...it's good when things are predictable, right? We'll we've been very busy decorating and cookie making and visitor waiting!!! That's right...I'm getting a visitor late tonight (that is why I need my sleep). My Auntie Kathy is coming to spend Christmas with me and Mom again. Oh, I just can't wait...I better rest up.

On the sixth post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...

my neighborhood being merry!

Wow...day six already. My how the time flies! I sure hope you are enjoying the posts. I'm rather impressed that my secretary, um I mean Mom, has been able to keep up. She's been buzzing around like a little bee the last few nights getting the house all cleaned and decorated. She's been very secretive of late...she won't let me into the office any longer...hmmmm. Oh and she made up the guest bedroom too...wonder what is going on???

Anyhowl the other night Mom and I decided to take stroll around the new 'hood to check out the howliday decorations....

You can see all the pretty decorated Christmas trees in the windows...all except for ours!

I'm really not sure who Noel is, but there won't be any problem for Santa Paws to find their house, huh?

Speaking of the big guy...I also ran into him, but he was a little preoccupied with that list that he's got so we didn't chat.

Santa was hanging with this guy, but he wasn't talking either! What's up with that???

We walked a little further and some how magically we ran into Frosty again...the strange thing was he gots bigger????

Oh, and he had some friends with him...in fact, there were lots of these little creatures all over the place. They all were very glowy...some were even moving!

I've never seen these creatures around before...they were actually a little scawie!

These were my Mom's favorite lights...they were blue icicles and snowflakes!

Now you pups might be asking yourself...what about my house. Well, here it is...

That's right...we have nothing...nada! I guess it is just as well. My Mom on a ladder...well, that would be scawier than those glowy creatures we saw!

Day 5

On the fifth post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...

My Howliday Cards - W00t !!!

And dawg are there a lot of them! I get so excited each morning to walk to the mailbox to see what's arrived!!! And all the pictures and cards are just so much fun - W00t!!! Anyhowl, I asked Mom to try and come up with a good way to show them off. Remember what she did last year???

Yep, we made a picture wreath...so how to top that??? Well in the new house we have this giant wall in the hall (ooooh I rhymed - BOL) that looks like a big picture frame...

Mom says she knows what she wants to do with the space, but of course she hasn't gotten around to it yet. All I know is that whatever she decides to do it had better include me - W00t!

So guess what we did...we put all the cards in there!!!! Take a look...

And you know what...this isn't even all of the cards either!!! Mom still needs to print out all my e-cards...You know, I might actually run out of space!!!

What do you think? I think it's great because at least we don't have a silly empty wall anymore. But I think I'll keep the cards up until Mom shows me proof she has a suitable alternative - hee hee hee!!!

Thanks again for thinking of us...all these cards make both of us so happy!!!! You are such great friends...we love you all so much!!

Thanks Ruby! Hi doggies! Hope you are all being good! You know Santa is watching! I want to thank you and your parents for all the wonderful cards we've been recieving. We have enjoyed reading each and everyone...it really is one of the highlights of the season.

Um Mom, could you speed it up a little, we don't have all day!

Ruby, be nice. It's not too late to tell Santa you've been naughty! Pups, I wish you and your family a very happy and healthy holiday season! Here we go...

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper. I usually pick a 'theme' for the year...it's been snowflakes for the last few years.

2. Real tree or Artificial? As a kid all I wanted was a 'real' tree. As an adult I realized what a pain (and how expensive) they were. I now have an artificial...and it's pre-lit. Yes, I'm cheating.

3. When do you put up the tree? It varies...and so far this year, it's not up yet, but I'm getting there.

4. Wreath on your door? Yes, it's euycalyptus...I just love the smell.

5. Do you like eggnog? One word for you...YUCK!

6. Favourite Christmas gift received as a child? A Mrs. Beasley doll...I just loved her!!!

7. Easiest person to buy for? Ruby, of course

8. Least easiest? Everyone else - LOL

9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes, it's a Precious Moments one...I liked it enough at the time---I got it years ago. Here's the one I really want!!!

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Both

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I've gotten things I don't like/need, but they have never been that bad

12. Favourite Christmas Movie? 'A Christmas Story', of course!

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually in December, much later than I should.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Nope

15. Open presents on Christmas eve or morning? One on Christmas Eve and all the rest Christmas Day.

16. Lights on the tree? Yes, little white ones...none blinky. I'm kinda boring.

17. Favourite Christmas song? 'Winter Wonderland'

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Home if I can help it.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Heck yeah...do you need proof???

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Varies...I have a stained glass star and two Looney Tunes (Taz and Tweety) angels. I alternate between the three.

21. Favourite thing to eat at Christmas? Bagels and Lox...oh and pierogies

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Grouchy people who leave their shopping till the last minute. I know I leave my shopping till the last minute, but I accept my fate. Some people are just downright nasty about it. I hate that!

23. Favourite Tree ornament, theme or colour? I have too many favorites...but I think my collection of Rudolph ornaments would have to be it. Gotta love Bumble !

24. Favourite for Christmas dinner? Prime rib with popovers and mac N cheese!

25. Brussels Sprouts - love or hate them? DOUBLE YUCK!

26. Favourite accompaniment to the Christmas Pud? Never had Christmas Pud...but Christmas cookies are my favorite holiday dessert.

27. Favourite Christmas Carol? "Caro of the Bells"

28. Your very Favourite Christmas Thing? Time Off...and staring at the Christmas tree lights with all the other lights off in the house off. Weird, I know!!!

On the third post of Christmas, I'm going to share with thee...

an important blogiversary!!!

See this handsome guy???  That is Mack T. Beans...my handsome boyfriend Macky - W00t!  It is one year ago today, that my Mack started his bloggy and dawg am I so happy.  

What you pups may not know is that long before Mack started his blog and we became a couple, Mack and I had been exchanging Dogster mail.  

Here's the very first email Mack sent me...

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am a 2 year old Boston Terrier named Mack Thunder Beans (my people just call me Mack).  Anyway I was looking at one of my favorite websites  "LittleBeasts.Com"  and they had your web link on there. Wow, you are one hot little tamale. I've  attached my photo (I'm doing one of my most fav things: chewing up stuff). Let me know what you think. Do you like to chew on stuff too? Do you like to de-stuff little Loofah dogs? What's your most fav to destroy? Maybe we can get together sometime and have a destuffing party. Wow that sounds like fun.

PS: I just broke up with my girlfriend (well I had to). She was the neighbor's dog and they gave her away. hint hint"

Who would have thought that a little innocent flirting would end up with us being a couple???  Bet you didn't know I saved that Mack...well I've saved everything you've ever written me.

Anyhowl...enough mushy stuff.  Macky, I'm so glad you are blogging and even more glad you are my boyfriend!  Pups...make sure you go over and wish Mack a very happy 1year blogiversary!!!

A birthday of a special doggie!

It's Bob's barkday...he's 4 today!!! You all remember my special friend Bob right? He vacationed at my house this summer. We had the bestest time. Oh, I miss seeing Bob. Fun times, fun times. I wonder what he's doing for his barkday??? I sure hope he's getting lots of snackies and belly rubs!

The 12 Posts of Christmas - W00t!!!

On the first post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...

It's Sunday...so it's a sleepy pix of me!!!!

Just because it's Christmas, it's still Sunday so out of the archives is me with my favorite holiday blankie. Hey Mom, can you hurry up and dig out my holiday blankie already???

PS - I want to wish my sissy Sophia a big 'Get Well Soon'...she had to go to the V.E.T because she's got a broken butt and now has to wear a cone till Thursday! Poor Sophia...feel better Sis.

A blast from the past only new?!?!

So what am I barking about with that subject??? Well, I was pleasantly surprised this morning with a new visitor to my bloggy. His name is Charlie. He is a very handsome puggle (don't worry Mack and Stanny, he's just a friend). And he owns my old BFFs family now!

Those of you might remember my BFF Suki. Oh how I have missed her. She and her brother Joey now live with a very nice family in Miami. Heck, if I know Suki, she's hanging out on the beach every day - BOL!!! Anyhowl, the family has missed having a pup and that's how Charlie came to live with them.

Make sure you swing by and say hi to Charlie at his new bloggy and welcome back Katy and the girls!!! Katy, Yesenia and Ava...me and Mom have missed you so much and are so glad you were able to open your heart and home to Charlie!!!

Super Hero Supervising

It's been really busy here at the sweatshop, um I mean home these last few days.  I have been supervising (Mom: more like sleepervising) Mom's work on a project.  Mom was asked by a friend of her's from work to design and make some Super Hero capes for her people pup Connor's 4th barkday. Mom jumped at the chance to play with her sewing machine.  Unfortunately Mom is completely useless without my help.

I think I know a little something about Super Hero couture...case in point:

So for a small fee of a bully stick and a belly rub,  I went to work on the design, selecting the fabrics, the colors and trims...

So colorful! So fun!  So me!!!

The cape includes a see-thru plastic pocket where a custom designed super hero ensigna can be put...it is also ideal for snackies - BOL!!!

This one is my favorite...you know how I love pink...

I think Mom did a pretty good job implementing my design. I've, I mean we've, finished 12! Only a few more to go...and Mom better get cracking, the pawty is on Saturday!!! Hey, I don't believe I recieved my invitation to the big event...it sure wouldn't be a pawty without Wonder Ruby!!!

Thanksgiving Wrap-Up

Hey Everypup...

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.  Mine was fun, fun, fun - W00t!  It was great getting to meet my Auntie Joey and Cousin Danny and seeing my Nanny again.  I gots TONS of belly rubs and played at the park and had some very high quality snuggle time with my Mom.

Unfortunately I didn't get any turkey...I know!  Can you imagine?!?!?!  See here I am waiting...

Something about me having squishy poops again...but I'm ok now and I know there are TONS of leftovers so I better get some turkey tonight!!!

We FINALLY got all our Christmas cards done - thank dOG! Now Mom needs to get herself over the the post office to send them out!  I was hoping she'd go today, but she caught a nasty cold over the holiday and she just wants to sleep.  I won't give give her too much grief today...maybe tomorrow tho'.  

Anyhowl...just wanted to check in with you pups...I'm off to give my Mom some kisses to make her feel better!
