Ruby and the City???

So for some bizarre reason my Mom, who knows very well I DO NOT like to wear clothes, found it necessary to torture me last night with the excuse that I should look 'presentable' for Joe & Tanner's pawrents wedding this weekend. Like Joe & Tanner care as long as we bring snackies!

Anyhowl, I think my Mom had an ulterior motive...

So maybe there is a little resemblance...but I'm way cuter I think. Enough about this silly little movie. Big weekend ahead...the Wedding of course and I'm getting some special visitors next week! My Auntie Kelly is coming to see me again and this time she is bringing her pups - W00t!

Getting Ready to Roller Boogy!!!

OK, so it's only 2 more days to Opal & Pearl's roller skating pawty. I'm so excitered - W00t!!! I've been practicing, see...
Like my skates? I just love the pink wheels...I feel like a wheelie doggie...hee hee hee. Mom also gots me some pom-poms for my skates, but I kinda, um, ate them. Sorry...they looked like cotton candy! Silly Mom, she should have known better.

Anyhowl...Aire Ruby is getting ready and I look forward to seeing everypup. There's still room on Aire Ruby (even with all the wheelies). Just leave me a comment to let me know!

A whole bunch of firsts...

Hey Pups...

So sorry I've been so slow to post about my very busy weekend. What with all the traveling, I needed just a little R&R . I have to say tho, this was probably the most excitering weekend ever-W00t! It was certainly a weekend filled with firsts...


Let's see...it was the first time I visited Australia with all my pup friends for Willow and Putter's barkdays. That was a total blast!!! And closer to home it was...

• The first time Mom and I went on a roadtrip together
  
• The first time I visited Lake taterTahoe
• The first time I ever saw snow
• The first time I eated a pine cone, a potato chip and some cherries...LOTS of fun eatables!

and last but certainly not least...

• The first time I met baby Maddy - W00t!!!

So where to start...well, Mom and I headed out early Saturday for the bootiful drive up Route 80 to Lake taterTahoe...actually we were closer to Donner Lake in Truckee, CA. As we were driving up it was very pretty and I gots to see all this white stuff which was snow. Mom also told me all about this scawie story about those Donner people who ate each other...yikes! Too bad for Mom, fortunately for me Mom didn't say anything about them eating any Boston Terrorists!!!

Once we gots there we were greeted by Uncle Mark, Bob and Cooper!!! I was so excitered to see Bobbers and Cooper...I've missed them...especially Bob. He is the coolest doggie ever...we just LOVE to play. Maddy and Auntie Michele were napping so we just hung out on the deck and I gots to see snow up close and very pawsonal. It is so cool...literally!!!

Unfortunately, Mom didn't let me roam free...something about me running away and becoming a bear snackie...AS IF!!! But I was on a really long leash and did get to wander where I discovered the amazing delicacy that is pine cones. Not the big giant ones...those were cool too. Nope, I talking about the teeny-tiny ones, very crunchy, very delicious. Mom was VERY worried that I was going to barf up baby pine cones...but nope! I'm just dreaming of their delicious crunchiness now....ahhhh.


Anyway, we hung out for a while and than the bestest part...Maddy!!!! W00t!!!! Isn't she just the cuterest? Unfortunately she's still too little to provide me with any snackies (but the baby pine cones made up for that). But I had a lot of fun watching her. I do think I scared her a little when I was talking to Bob (we tend to talk quite loudly). But I can tell, when she gets older we are going to be the bestest girlfriends!

Let's see what else...I went to the store with Uncle Mark and Mom...that was fun. Oh and we had lunch...I never knew potato chips were so yummy! Oh and than came the walkie...

So you pups know I love to go walking, right? Well, I'm never going walking up in Lake taterTahoe again!!! It was HOT!!!! So very, very HOT!!! In fact it was so HOT that it almost burned my little paw pads off! I'm not joking!!!! Silly Mom just kept going, and here I am shaking my paws because it was HOT. She's totally ignoring me...if I had opposable thumbs and a cell phone I would have called the ASPCA!!! (Ruby's Mom: Ruby!!!). Well she finally figured it out and we headed back to the cabin. Bob and Cooper kept going...but only for a little while. Their paws were hurting too! And to think our silly hoomans said we were wimps!!! Nope!!! Just a lot smarter than they were!

So the three of us (and Mom and Auntie Michele) headed back and that's where I truly enjoyed the snow...I just rolled and rolled in it and dug and dug...and laid down...ahhhhh. Such relief. For some reason Mom and Auntie Michele were NOT amused. But who cares...it felt so much better.

After all that excitement it was time for a nappy.

Next thing I know everyone was fixing dinner. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed inside during dinner...hmpffffff!!! No fair. But it really was nice outside. I really loved it, but need to show a pathetic, sad face anyway to see if I could score anymore snackies!!!

After dinner I did get to come inside, but was so tired I just napped. Next thing I knew it was time for bed and boy was I happy about that!!!Next morning Mom and I were up really early...Bob too and even though it was a little chilly we hung out on the deck. You know what...there are TONS of birdies up in the trees!!! Lots and lots and I didn't notice them on Saturday...must have been the excitement of meeting Maddy and all. But so cool. Mom tried to get some pictures, but she did a sucky job at it. But trust me, they were SO cool.

We only stayed up at the cabin for the morning on Sunday and than came home. It was a short visit, but so much fun!!! I was so beat that I slept all the way home, and than when I got home slept some more. In fact I was SO tired that Mom had to wake me up for dinner...can you imagine!

Anyhowl...it really was a blast! Thank you Uncle Mark, Auntie Michele, Maddy, Bob and Cooper for letting me come hang out. I hope I wasn't too crazy and Mom wasn't too much of a pain - LOL. And I really hope we can do it again...maybe when there is snow. That would be so much fun!!!(Ruby's Mom: NOT!!!)

Isn't it lovely? And it goes so well with my name - hee, hee, hee! Thank YOU Blue for being such a pawsome friend.

Next up, I won Sophie and Dixie's first photo caption contest with my entry...
Dixie does look kind of scawie there, doesn't she??? Oh and here's the cool award they sent me...
So funny, I love it and can't wait to post it on my sidebar!!! And speaking of Sophie & Dixie, have you heard about their other competition? You know, for Sophie's Next Pug Model??? Well, you should totally check it out...and you don't need to be a puggy either...pug, according to the very wise Sophie really is just an attitude. This is going to be an 8 week competition and it is just going to be fierce.

OK, enough about awards. This is a big pawty and barkday weekend - W00T! So not only is it Willow & Putter's barkdays AND down unda' adventure, BUT it is also my super special puggy pal Clover's FIRST barkday!!! Happy Barkday girls and Aire Ruby is getting already for the trip. I just can't wait!!!

And finally, before traveling to Oz, I'll be heading up to Lake taterTahoe with Mom! I've never been there and I'm so excitered...R*O*A*D**T*R*I*P!!!!! What's also going to be great is that I'm going to get to hang out with my quasi-cousins Bob and Cooper! Oh and get this...I'm finally going to get to meet baby Madeline!!! That is going to be the bestest part...I sure hope she leaves some snackies around for me - hee hee hee.

Don't worry, Aire Ruby is waiting for me up it taterTahoe...Mom and I will be driving up and than I'll leave her there to drink wine and eat food and I'll pick everypup up for the big pawty!!! I can't wait to see everypup!!! Just be on the look out for me!!!

New Friend?

Allow me to introduce you to a new friend. He's not a stuffie or a wheelie...heck, I'm not quite sure what he is. Introducing Alistair.

He's kind of, well, um, weird. First off, he doesn't really move much. His head kind of bobs up and down when I try to kiss him. But the rest of him doesn't move at all.

Also, he didn't sniff my butt...that's really strange if you ask me.

Than there is his giant empty belly. I don't get it. I told Mom he looked hungry, but she said she needed to go to the store to get him a plant for his belly...I guess that means he's a vegetarian which is pawsome for me since I won't need to worry about him eating any of my foodables.

He really didn't want to play much...so I just let him be and I went and lounged in the sun.

Clarification...

Greetings...today's post is in reply to many of the comments left for me regarding National Stuffie Appreciation Day. It seems some of my friends were confused, concerned and just plain astonished at my collection of stuffies. That I may some how (gulp) not be a terrierist because there are so many still left intact.

While I appreciate everypup's concern, there really isn't anything to be worried about. Allow me to present this...Exhibit A
Now would this damage be wrought by someone other than a terrierest of the highest order? Or take Exhibit B...remember this?
OK, OK while NOT a true stuffie, it definitely displays my skill at de-stuffing. And than there is Exhibit C...little ones, avert your eyes, it may be too much for you to handle...

Yes, it is the boulevard of broken stuffies. Actually it isn't even all of them, there were oh so many more! I've been saving this photo for a special unveiling, but I felt I needed to clear my good Boston girl name.

While I admit, I still have a lot of de-stuffing to do, I think I have proven myself to be a tried and true terrierest. I hope this clears things up.

National Stuffy Appreciate Day 2008

The very smart Mr. T-Bone Beasley proclaimed today, May 8th - National Stuffie Appreciation Day! W00T! This holiday is long overdue if you ask me. Other than my Mom (who incidentally has an appreciation day coming up too) I can thinking of nothing more deserving to be appreciated than my stuffies.

I mean, they let me chew on them...

And they let me sleep with them.
I'm so lucky to have my stuffies in my life. And yes, yes, yes I really appreciate the stuffing out of you, oops I mean I really appreciate you!!!

This was actually pretty difficult for me...I mean, just six words...to describe me...just not possible. So I decided to take a little poetic license with this and come up with two...

I liked that I figured out everything with 'S's' - W00T! That's the smart part of me at work for sure. As well as that captured the real me I felt something was missing...something important...

Now, if I could actually done eight words, I would have added 'Loves Snackies' too!!!
