A bit under the weather...

Thursday, September 04, 2008

Hey Pups...sorry I've been so quiet, but I've not been feeling too well. Oh don't worry, nothing too serious and actually I think Mom has made more out of it than it really is. Maybe it's all the excitement (the move, the icky hookie worms, the pawties, the visitors) but I've been a little, um, irregular if you know what I mean.

Mom finally got 'worried' when I wasn't drinking my water (why drink water when there are pawtinis?) and my poops were um, a bit squishy...well actually a LOT squishy. I guess Mom was worried I might become a little de-hi-treated. Anyhowl...of course you know what that means? Yup...off to the V.E.T. - I swear we should own stock in that place!

I was so violated at the V.E.T. Between the exam and the temperture thingy in my butt oh and the camel hump with fluids (can we say big giant needle) it was horrible. Than I'm subjected to my Mom singing...
Ruby's hump, Ruby's hump, Ruby's lovely lady lump...
How embarrassing....

Well I may still have the icky hookie worms...so I'm on more medicine and a bland diet (boiled chicken, cottage cheese, rice) until things are a little um, firmer. I actually don't mind the bland diet...I'm LOVING all the chicken, Woot!

So that's why I've been kinda quiet the last few days. I'm totally feeling better and promise I'll blog more soon. Oh, and no pix today...I'm wayyyyy to self-concious of my 'lady lump'.

Hugs Ruby! Mommy used to sing that about Bugg's butt bump. "Bugg's bump, Bugg's bump, Bugg's lovely booty bump!"

Get better soon! Oh and Mommy says GO YELLOW as in that thing on her car... no idea what that means.

Poor Ruby!! I had to suffer through that camel hump thing & I know, it's no fun.

You may want to tell your Mom to add a couple tablespoons of canned pumpkin to your delicious chicken & rice (bland my butt...no pun intended!). It always helps to firm things up for us.

Feel better soon!

We're sorry you'e not feeling well, Ruby. Believe us, we know "squishy." Mom just loves picking up after us on our walkies when squishy is the operative word.

Rice and chicken do the trick, though -- and a bit of pure pumpkin too.

Get better soon!!

Well...at least you like your v-e-t, so that helps. Eat your chicken and all the other stuff like a good girl, Ruby, so you get back to normal soon.

Hey Ruby,
So sorry to hear you have hookworm. When did you first get it? If you have been playing with other dogs, please tell them to get checked. Hookworm passes to another dog very easily. Those darn nasty worms, why do they have to bother doggies?? hmmmmph! Hope you feel better soon.
Luv & Wirey Hugs!

go get some of that pumpkin sweetie. Tanner swears by it. We love you and think you are beautiful in all your iterations

We hope you feel better soon, Ruby! Being irregular is no fun! Mom gives us a Slippery Elm bark capsule lathered in peanut butter and it settles our tummies and firms our poos! We get one exactly 20 minutes before our meals! Maybe this will help?

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Hi, Ruby!
I hope you are feeling better now!
Maybe all those changes made you feel stressed.
Your bland diet sounds yummy!
Take care
