Christmas Recap

Sunday, December 30, 2007

Hey Everypup, Hammie & Coyote...

Sorry I've been a little quiet...but it has been quite happening as Casa de Rubinator! With Auntie Kathy being around there has been non-stop belly rubs. W00t! She's pawsome I tell you!!! I can't wait to see her every morning when she gets up and I do a very special dance for her. I wish she'd never go home!!!

Anyhowl...Christmas...dog did I score!!! I got lots of prezzies and snackies! I just couldn't believe it! Not only did Santa bring me stuff, but my sissy Sophia (and my Auntie Joey and Cuzin Danny) and my Nanny sent me the coolest prezzies!!!

Let's see...I got a cool duck from my Nanny...

It makes the bestest quacky-noise!!!

Than from my Auntie Joey, Cuzin Danny and Sissy Sophia, I gots some stuffies (all still alive I'm here to report), some cookies, a really pretty Puppia harness (I'll model it soon) and this...

Would it look good at the Corgie Girls' New Year's Eve Pawty on Dec.31? Yes! Is it stylish and my favorite color? Yes! DO I LIKE CLOTHES? NO!!!!!! H-E-L-L-O...paging dog who likes clothes. Um, not me!!! Sophia, it seems (and I never knew this about her), really only likes to look at the pictures on my blog and saw that I was modeling some clothes and figured I'd like this!!! Ha! Know what I did when Mom tried to put it on me??? Yup, I threw up a little on it - BOL!!!

Sis, it really is cute, and maybe one day...when I'm drugged up for some reason I might decide to wear it, but now...I'll just admire it from afar.

OK, enough about the sweater...what else...oh, got this really fun fuzzy ball and a Christmas tennis ball chew rope...

Oh, oh, oh...I finally got the Canine Genius chew toys!!! Woot!!! Mom stuck snackies in them and I could just play all day...

There were a bunch more things...I got more prezzies than Mom or Auntie Kathy - hee hee hee!! But things were not all snackies and toys here... (dum...dum...dum...)

Meet my nemisis...
OK, riddle me this Batman...my Mom who is almost 280 years old got one for Christmas! Isn't this supposed to be a kids toy? I mean that's what Peanut said!!! Mom has been possessed!!! And if that isn't bad enough, it has also taken over Auntie Kathy and Auntie Yvette too!!! LOOK...

It's really scawie...at first I did this when Auntie Kathy was playing...

But after a while with all the running around and flailing of the arms and the yelling at the T.V. the safest place was under a dining room chair...

I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do...I mean, my Mom has the crazy eyes!!! And only I get the crazy eyes!!! Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated!!!

Still here...

Yes, I'm still here, but as you can see I've been really busy...really, I have. The prezzies, the snackies, the playing, the napping...so much to do, so little time. I promise I'll tell you all about my Christmas soon. Oh and also about my new nemesis...to be continued...

On the twelfth post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...

Merry Christmas from Mom & Me!!!

We want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
May your day be filled with love, laughter, lots of snackies, prezzies and a belly rub or two!

Thanks for taking this twelve day journey with me. I'll be back tomorrow to post all about what Santa Paws brought me (and yes, there's a pile o' prezzies with my name on them - w00t!!!).

Lots of Licks, Ruby

Day 11

Monday, December 24, 2007

On the eleventh post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...

Tonight Santa's gonna visit me...

Oh my dogness...Santa is coming! Santa is coming! We better get ready...Mom, we need those snackies for Santa and the reindeer!!! STAT!!! (Ruby's Mom: Don't worry, he's not here yet. All you're hearing is the FedEx truck outside.)

This the special cup and plate we will be leaving for Santa. Don't worry, there's really only hot chocolate in there...we want to make sure Santa doesn't get all 'Blitzen' - hee, hee, hee.

Nice selection of cookies...except you'll notice, Mom never made any salmon cookies for Santa. I hope he won't be disappointed.

Now Mom, do you really think 5 apples are enough for 9 reindeer??? (Ruby's Mom: Ruby, I'm headed out to the store in a little bit, I'll pick up some carrots for them, stop worrying, OK! Santa and the reindeer will love anything you leave them.)

OK, here I am like a good girl settling in to sleep...dreaming of all the things I'm hoping Santa will bring me!!!
Have a good night pups! Make sure to get to bed early!
Merry Christmas Eve!!!

Day 10

On the tenth post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...

Someone special coming to spend Christmas time with Me!!!
(oh and Mom too...)

Well we're coming around the home stretch on posts here...made it to the double digits - w00t! Today I want to share with you something I'm so VERY excitered about...maybe even more excitered than Santa Paws visiting (Ruby's Mom: Ruby, are you sure about that? Santa Paws might be bringing you some prezzies...). My Auntie Kathy is coming to visit me!!!! W00t-W00t!!!

I've never met Auntie Kathy before, but I've barked to her on the phone and gotten prezzies from her and she even helped me shop for a mother's day card this year. Auntie Kathy lives in New Jersey and is my Mom's most-bestest friend in the world! They met 147 million-trillion-matt dillon years ago at college. She is coming to visit me (Ruby's Mom: Us) for a whole week during Christmas - W00t!

Here's a picture of Auntie Kathy and Mom from a long time ago - like a real, real, real, real, real long, long, long, long, long time ago. When they were much, much, much, much, much younger. (Ruby's Mom: Ruby - remember speed dial???)

Here's another picture from when they visited Colorado or something...Mom's not in the picture...

And because this is my blog here's a picture of me...
I'm waiting very patiently for Auntie Kathy to arrive. Hey Mom, where is she? Oh, not until tonight...I guess I'll just wait right here by the door for her!

Day 9

Saturday, December 22, 2007

On the ninth post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...

More ornaments from my Christmas Tree!

Sorry for the late post, but Mom and I have been very busy doing holiday things like vacuuming and laundry and dusting (yes, she seems to only do these things on the holidays - hee, hee, hee). Anyhowl, thought I would share some more ornaments with you all...

This little fellow is an aardvark from Costa Rica...at least that's what Mom tells me.

This is from one of my Mom's favorite movies, Monsters, Inc.

Do you see this? Santa is nekkid!!! I think this is what Mom thought Christmas would be like when she moved to California...nope, it was 32 degrees this morning!!!

This is a very pretty blue glass bubble. Mom's got a bunch of glass bubbables on the tree...so pretty with the lights.

ooooh, and a glass star too!

This is an interesting one, don't you think? Wonder where Mom got this one!!!

It's Rudolph!!! We've got all the Misfit Toys and his girlfriend Clarice too!

OK, I don't think this one is that cute, but Mom said I should show it because it's made out of paper and she thinks it is cool. Whatever...

This really isn't an ornament. First Santa is nekkid, now he's wearing a dress...this is mighty weird.

And last one for today, this is Suzy, Mom's favorite holiday stuffie. She's from Alaska. She looks like she'd be fun to play with, don't you think?

Day 8

Friday, December 21, 2007

On the eighth post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...

A new Diva a collar just for me!!!

I got a VERY special package in the mail today. It was an early Christmas gift from my Auntie Elizabeth...

Red. Velvet. Bow. Diva. W00t!

How do I look? Divine I know! Auntie Elizabeth has the bestest taste, don't you think!!!

This is me and my Auntie Elizabeth last fall. She was teaching me Pilates. I really liked it!

See how little I was??? I'm a big girl now!!!
And I'm so fit and strong because of all that Pilates!!!

Thank You so much Auntie Elizabeth!!! I just love my collar!!!!
I hope I get to see you over the howliday!
I woof you!!!

Day 7

Thursday, December 20, 2007

On the seventh post of Christmas I'm going to share with thee...

Finally a Decorated Tree!!!

Well, it only took 20 days - the tree went up on December 1st! Is there a world record for slowest Christmas tree decorating??? Well...here it is...W00t!

Hey, where's the star??? And isn't the tree just a little crooked???

Isn't it pretty??? I think I did a great job! (Ruby's Mom: You did a great job??? Ruby, you sat on the couch napping!!! Ruby: Oh no I didn't...I was supervising with my eyes closed...I'm very skilled that way!!!)

Anyhowl, I thought I would finally get to show you some of Mom's special hornaments (Ruby's Mom: Ruby, that's oranments not hornaments! Ruby: Whatever!!)

Venti-Non Fat-Extra Hot-Chai Tea Latte anypup??? Starbucks - That woman just can't get enough of this place. I really hope she has stock in the company!

Oh, and here's little Bumble and a bigger Bumble! I love Bumble...I mean I really love Bumble...I wish I could love the stuffing right out of Bumble.

Why are you hiding Bumble??? Come out and play Bumble - hee, hee, hee
Oh hi there little Power Puff Girls. Didn't see you sleeping...just saying hi...oh don't worry I won't hurt Bumble, no, not me!

Here's a cute wooden Santa...he came to live with us all the way from Germany...and he's got a bunch of friends living in the tree with him too.

Frohe Weihnachten

Hey Marvin...do you recognize this little guy? It's a little furry wooden Highland Coo all the way from Marvin-land, oops I mean Scotland!!! Mom got it when she visited Scotland 90 million quadrillion years ago! (Ruby's Mom: Ruby, be nice! Remember I have Santa Paws on speed dial? Ruby: OK, OK...)

Wait a minute...how did this get in here???

Do you notice something missing??? Yep, I don't see any Boston hornaments, oops, I mean ornaments do you??? Hey Mom, don't you have a Boston ornament somewhere??? Could you please go find it? Preferably before Christmas.

Oh, last but not least...our stockings have been hung by the chimney (actually, gas fireplace) with care...

I have to say, Mom does have some very interesting and fun ornaments. She tells all her friends and family who travel places to bring her ornaments back, so she has quite a collection. Now that they are living happily on our tree, I can share some more over the next few days if you are interested.
