It's Saturday....

Howdy...I was so looking forward to today. First because that means quality time with my Mom and second because today was our BT meetup day. Yahoo!!! All started out fine until Mom put on this owie bracelet. I know it's pink and I like pink, but it felt funny and I didn't like it. I wanted a bracelet like Opy's bracelet. But no....Mom said if I didn't wear the owie bracelet I couldn't go to the park. :( And I really wanted to go to the park. After a few minutes of devil-cuz fetch to make sure I could run with my owie bracelet it wasn't so bad...but I still didn't like it. Anywho...we were ready to go...

Here's me in my special car seat. I know, I know, I look a little peeved...well I just wanted to make sure we were going to the park. After the owie bracelet thing I wasn't so sure. But we did FINALY get to the park. Yay!

When we got to the park it was REALLY crowded...both the Yorkie and the Bulldog meetups were happening. I like the bulldogs fine, but I don't think the Yorkie parent's like me much because I run like a crazy girl. Phoey on them!!! So I started out in the big-dog part of the park where I met my friend LuLu. Here's LuLu greeting my Mom with a big sloppy smile. LuLu is the best!!!

Even though I don't always get to go to the big-dog side of the park, I like it a lot because the big dogs REALLY like to chase me. I just love that. It's so much fun because no matter how speedy the big dogs are I can always get away from them...hee, hee, hee. There was this really cute black lab puppy who kept chasing me. It was so much fun!!!!

Finally we made it over to the small-dog side of the park for the meetup. At first Mom wouldn't let me off my leash because there were still a lot of Yorkies over there and Mom didn't want me to get into any mischief...I was patient, but it was hard.

There were about 16 Boston's today which was GREAT! I got to see a lot of my friends. Here's Charlie, a new friend of mine. This is only Charlie's second time at the dog park...Mom and I met him and his Mom a few week's ago and convinced him to come in. He seemed to be having fun.

Then my pal Lucy came with her parents. I wasn't sure if Lucy was coming today because she's awaiting the arrival of her new fur-brother or sister...another Boston. She's very excited to get a sibling, but it means I won't be seeing her at the park for awhile. I guess that will be okay because when she does come back I'll have another friend to play with.

Here are a couple of random shots. I had such a good time! I can't believe I have to wait a whole month before we get together again :(

After about 2 hours of solid running and playing it was time to go home. I didn't want to go, but I was getting a little tired and ready for a little snuggle time with Mom. Here's one last picture...notice how my pink owie bracelet isn't very pink anymore...hee, hee, hee.

Hi There Ruby,
Sounds like a great day at the park even if you did have to wear that owie bracelet - why did you have to wear it?
Love the pictures !!

Oh no, what happened to your arm? I hope it doesn't hurt. Though it does look cute on you.

Looks like you had an awesome time at the park. Your park looks cool, love the pools. I wish my park had a pool.

Hi Ruby! Nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by my blog. We've never seen a brindle Boston in real life but you sure are pretty! Your ears are awesome, too.

I agree about playing in the big-dog area. They are SO much more fun. I can't stand all those little snappy breeds *cough-pekingese-cough*

Looks like you guys had fun. Your friends are cute! :)

hey Ruby, Some of those bostons look a little tubby. But not you. You look perfect, even with your owie bracelet. Lulu is funny!

What a GREAT day, Ruby! He hee - I love little LuLu's teethies!! And Charlie is slightly rotund, just like Mean Sister Fig! *sigh* I wish we had a dog park around here....

HA! You look a tiny bit crabby in the car, Ruby. But that' totally understandable, since you had to wear that ridiculous bracelet. Why don't moms understand that we don't need to be coddled?! We're dogs - let us run around like crazy animals!!

Hope your boo boo gets better soon, Ruby...until then...your new bracelet is really cute. Jakey says "Hi, Ruby!!".

I go to wheaten terrier meetups at the dog beach - there aren't any wire fox terrier meetups. I think cuz we would all kill each other!

Ruby--

Tell your ma that when she is done with the pint of Americone Dream she should let you clean out the container. And then you get it stuck on your snout to entertain the apes. Works for me.
