Super Hero Supervising

Wednesday, December 10, 2008

It's been really busy here at the sweatshop, um I mean home these last few days.  I have been supervising (Mom: more like sleepervising) Mom's work on a project.  Mom was asked by a friend of her's from work to design and make some Super Hero capes for her people pup Connor's 4th barkday. Mom jumped at the chance to play with her sewing machine.  Unfortunately Mom is completely useless without my help.

I think I know a little something about Super Hero couture...case in point:

So for a small fee of a bully stick and a belly rub,  I went to work on the design, selecting the fabrics, the colors and trims...

So colorful! So fun!  So me!!!

Here's a close up...

The cape includes a see-thru plastic pocket where a custom designed super hero ensigna can be put...it is also ideal for snackies - BOL!!!

This one is my favorite...you know how I love pink...

I think Mom did a pretty good job implementing my design. I've, I mean we've, finished 12! Only a few more to go...and Mom better get cracking, the pawty is on Saturday!!! Hey, I don't believe I recieved my invitation to the big event...it sure wouldn't be a pawty without Wonder Ruby!!!

Are you kidding me? You haven't received your invitation to the party yet? Ruby girl, you should be the guest of honor.

I love the colors of those capes, too!

Ruby, I love the capes! What would your mom do without you to rescue her in these situations. Thank doG for your sewing skills!

Ruby Bugg!

You look mahvelous darlink! Of COURSE you'll be invited to the pawty. Designers are always pawty hopping and are good for publicity. Tell your mama's friend that more pupparazzi will be there if you are.

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley

Hey Ruby! So my mom tells me you used to be best friends with Suki. Well, I know she misses her, but guess what? I'm the new addition to the family! Yeah! She says that visiting your blog and emailing your mom made her realize she missed having a dog, so here I am! Come check out my blog, ok? I can't wait for us to be friends :)

Hey Ruby,
Those capes are awesome! And you look quite snazzy in the pink one. Think your mom could make me one that says "The Amazing Farting Dog" on the back?

Hi Ruby,
Your mom is a great seamtress!! (My mom can't even sew a straight line using a sewing machine!)..
I think the pink cape is totally you.. I hope your mom made a 'Ruby-size' one for you!!
